Born in Japan & raised in Los Angeles, Wayne received
a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Art Center College of Design. He moved to
Singapore and opened a studio, where for the past 11 years he has shot
everything from lifestyle, to fashion, to still life, for major
advertising agencies & design firms.
He specializes in photojournalism, documentary portraiture
and still life (with an emphasis on food). His client list boasts
an impressive array of companies, including Epson, Reader’s Digest,
Singapore Airlines, M Hotel, IBM, Citibank, and Castrol to name a few.
He is also occasionally commissioned to shoot private
portraits of CEOs & their families. His photographs were
featured in Asiaweek, Elle and several
airlines in-flight magazines. His work also appeared in
publications for non-profit organizations such as Crippled Children’s
Society, Los Angeles Mission and National Kidney Foundation.
Wayne shared his photographs and camera techniques in a
travelogue series: Warring Frontiers that was screened on Channel
News Asia, and a show targeting young audiences on Kids Central.
He has taught courses previously at Temasek
Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Lucasfilm
Animation Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. He continues
to shoot a wide array of assignment work & travel globally to shoot
for personal work & for stock libraries.
